Baby Gifts & Baby Shower Ideas

Our little monkey Allie just celebrated another mini birthday.  At 7 months she grows more curious and animated each day.  She loves being silly,  she loves to sing in the morning,  she loves to dance all day, she loves Barney but she loves mommy time best of all.  Allie displays tremendous  curiosity for all things around her and fights sleep just so she doesn’t miss anything.  Sweet as sugar all day long,  she melts daddy’s heart when she sings out repeatedly … da, da, da, da…her first ( and only) words to date.   “Itsy, Bitsy Spider” is Allie’s favorite song,  but “No more Monkey’s Jumping on the Bed”  is growing on her as you might imagine!

I can’t believe  Alessandra is already half way through her first year.  Wow, time is really flying by but I’m having so much fun with this child!  That’s Ali below celebrating her 6-month birthday this week wearing what else…a Silly Phillie® birthday bib, outfit, and headband.

6 month milestones

Alessandra is hitting all her 6-month milestones right on schedule.  She’s beginning to sit up by herself, she’s eating  solid foods and loving it, she’s growing quickly,  she communicates with laughter and making sounds (no words yet) and just earlier today I found that she is cutting her first tooth!

Update-Time for a Change™ Changing Pads

I mentioned in my last post that Ali inspired me to design a new line of animal character changing pads, called Time for a Change ™ .  The thought was that changing pads, however practical they may be,  lacked personality and could benefit from exciting new designs.  The response so far has been fantastic.  Everyone loves the way they look and is thrilled to hear that we make them in the USA.  Looks like Ali has a bright future in our  baby gift business!

Just a quick post to announce that the winner of the March 2012 Babies R Gifts Photo Contest is Tabassom (please see photo below).  This precious little girl outpaced all other contestants receiving a total of 70 votes during the month. According to her mother, Tabassom is  kind and so cute. We think we agree! Congratulations to Tabassom and her entire family!

March has arrived (bye, bye winter), so it’s time for me to announce the results of  February’s  Babies R Gifts™ Photo Contest.   João Pedro, a delightfully expressive baby boy, won with a total of 221 votes,  beating all other contestants by a fairly large margin.

And who could argue with this outcome?  As you can see from his photo,  João Pedro is overflowing with personality and charm.  The submitted tweet about João Pedro is:  ”his expression makes everyone laugh”, and that seems to be an appropriate description for this bundle of joy.

As the winner with more than 150 votes,  João Pedro will be receiving a valuable personalized baby gift from us free of cost, consisting of a gorgeous wood rocking chair personalized with his name,   baby blanket,  plush bear,  and other layette accessories.  This  keepsake baby gift  will be treasured for years to come.

This adorable and precocious baby girl received a total of 285 votes during the month of  January 2012.
